Our Treatment Philosophy

We take into account your whole person - mind, body and spirit.

We believe in empowering all people to feel their best.
We strive to treat everyone with openness, warmth and respect.
We value your time and money and will provide the highest level of care.

What to Expect

"Discussing injuries can be tough, especially when it comes to bladder, bowel, and sexual issues. I understand these are sensitive topics, and I want you to feel at ease sharing your concerns so we can help you get back to your best."

- The Fit Pelvis Owner, Katy Girlinghouse

The First Visit

The first visit lasts 50-60 minutes, allowing us to understand your therapy goals and concerns, including bladder, bowel, and sexual health, as well as your eating habits, mental health, and physical activity.

We will conduct a full body examination, assessing your movements, strength, and mobility, and may perform a pelvic floor muscle examination.

Finally, the therapist will share their findings and recommend a treatment plan, including a home exercise program.

What's Next?

During each 60-minute visit, we will review your progress, provide personalized interventions, and offer education and coaching to help you achieve your goals. Interventions may include manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, neuromuscular reeducation, therapeutic exercises, and surface EMG biofeedback.
Can I Use Insurance?

We have found that insurance often limits the types of treatments or the number of sessions that can be provided. To provide the best care to you, The Fit Pelvis chooses to work as a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance for services provided.  We provide a superbill so that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We do accept cash, card and HSA/FSA cards. This allows us to charge a flat rate for services that includes everything provided without surprise charges. We strive to make our services affordable for everyone and do not want you to avoid treatment due to cost.

Please contact us if cost is a concern for you. We do provide discounted services to a limited number of patients on a case-by-case basis.

You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Click here for more information on a Good Faith Estimate.
